Theron says Mad Max: Fury Road begins next month!
By Dr. Know on May 24th, 2012
With the way things have been going for Mad Max: Fury Road the last few years, I was beginning to believe the movie would never get off the ground. The Biblical-like floods in the franchise’s old stomping grounds of Broken Hill, Australia being the main culprit for the delay.
Be that as it may, according to Oscar winner and unattainable goddess Charlize Theron – who will play the female lead of Furiosa – things are scheduled to get going next month on June 2nd!
As you may have already gathered, I’m a big fan of the Mad Max series, so I’m slightly friggin’ stoked to see this movie start filming and get out to movie theaters ASAP!
Story details are non-existent so far. All we know is that things allegedly revolve around the shortage of women and a declining world population in what will obviously be a post-apocalyptic world. That, of course, may turn out to be erroneous since we’re unable to confirm that.
Tom Hardy replaces Mad Mel Gibson for the role as the new “Mad” Max Rockatansky, and, as I mentioned, the heroine role of Furiosa has been appointed to my future ex-wife, Charlize Theron. According to director and creator of all that is wasteland genius, George Miller, Fury Road will indeed be filmed back-to-back with the sequel, Mad Max: Furiosa. In total, Miller confirmed that three scripts have already been written for Mad Max’s return. The third movie’s title still shrouded in secrecy.
Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Isabella Kravitz, Adelaide Clemens, Richard Norton and Abbey Lee star.
George Miller returns to direct.
Now get shootin’ this mutha, Georgie-Boy, see we can at least get a teaser trailer to tide us over!
