The Walking Dead Renewed For Sixth Season

By Drax Largo on October 7th, 2014

Gee, what a no-brainer, huh? Obviously AMC was going to renew The Walking Dead for a sixth season. One wouldn’t dare kill the golden goose, especially when it also has spin-off shows in the pipeline.

Here’s the official propaganda from AMC Prez Charlie Collier:

“We could not be more excited for October 12 as we share new episodes of The Walking Dead with fans around the globe… In advance of Sunday’s season five premiere, AMC proudly confirms a sixth season order of this extraordinary series. Thank you to Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, the terrific executive producers, and the entire team who brings this compelling world and these rich characters to life. There’s plenty more Dead ahead thanks to their impressive, collective effort.”

I sincerely hope they producers have regained the momentum from seasons gone by. After season 4, the show’s still lucky to have the massive audience it does because myself and many more tuned out after it was clear  things were at a standstill story-wise.

In case you’ve been on a mission to Mars and are just returning to Earth, The Walking Dead’s fifth season debut airs this Sunday, October 12, on AMC. Check your local listings for times in your area.

In the meantime, here’s the trailer.
