Rambo Returning?

By Dr. Know on June 23rd, 2014

Is John Rambo taking on another mission? If Splendid Film is accurate, then, yes, it looks like he is. Apparently, the production outlet has bought up the rights to Rambo’s next adventure. Their press release goes a little like this:

“With Rambo V Sylvester Stallone returns in his iconic role. This time he goes up against a Mexican cartel. Stallone, who has also written the screenplay, describes the new Rambo as his version of No Country for Old Men. Like the last film, Rambo V is produced by Avi Lerner (The Expendables 1-3).

Sylvester Stallone, of course, last played the role of John Rambo in 2008’s Rambo, which earned $113.2 million worldwide on a $50 million budget. He also wrote and directed the film.

As for a release date on this next go-around, stay tuned. I’m still wary that this will come to fruition.

Here’s the trailer from the 2008 movie to tide you over.
