Moss Joins Jessica Jones Netflix Series

The Matrix‘s Carrie-Anne Moss is joining Marvel’s Netflix series, Jessica Jones. Details on the specifics of her role are vague at the moment. The only thing that’s really known is that Moss will allegedly play no-nonsense woman who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica (Krysten Ritter).

Moss joins previously cast David Tennant, Mike Colter and Rachael Taylor.

Created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos, Jones is a superhero suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder, which leads to her hanging up her costume and opening her own detective agency, where she ends up helping people and assisting other superheroes.

Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight) is head writer and executive producer of the series, which will see Jones form an alliance with Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, all stars of their own Netflix series.

The goal is to then combine all four characters with the heroes from each show then coming together for an Avengers-type team. Each of the four series will consist of 13-episode arcs over multiple years beginning in 2015, culminating with a mini-series, The Defenders, that reimagines a dream team of self-sacrificing, heroic characters.

Jessica Jones is scheduled to air on Netflix later this year.
