Marvel Studios: Assembling A Universe

When Marvel Studios launched movie versions of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk in 2008, the studio took their first step in redefining the Hollywood franchise system. With their unparalleled catalogue of iconic characters, not only did the studio have the content to make their movies happen but they also had the financing.

Fast-forward a lighning-fast eight years later, the rest of Hollywood is far behind the studio, trying like hell to catch up to the standard Marvel has set. Although DC Entertainment appears to be the only contender so far, they still have light years ahead of them before they match the Marvel superhero stable, which is now under the powerful umbrella of the Mouse House known as Disney.
