Keaton Heading To Skull Island
By Drax Largo on January 8th, 2015
It looks like Michael Keaton will be following up his critically-acclaimed performance in Birdman with a trip to Skull Island. The veteran actor is currently in talks to join the in-development King Kong prequel.
J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) and Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers) are already on board in undisclosed roles.
Screenwriter John Gatins (Flight) is currently reworking earlier drafts by Godzilla screenwriter Max Borenstein.
Character and plot details are slim at the moment, but I suspect we’ll see a giant gorilla at some point in the movie.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts is directing.
As it stands now, Skull Island is scheduled for release March 10, 2017.
