Is Michael Keaton Involved In Beetlejuice 2?

We’ve known for some time now that Seth Grahame-Smith (Dark Shadows) has been writing a sequel to Beetlejuice for director Tim Burton. While their official involvement has been confirmed the question about the actor playing the title character remains – Michael Keaton.
Keaton’s been rather low-key in recent years, choosing (and happily I might add) to relinquish his leading man status and take on smaller supporting roles. Having said that, would he be in for another kick at the can?
Keaton sat down with MTV while doing the press round for Robocop and he dropped some info on the proposed sequel. It’s sounding very positive since Keaton has essentially admitted he’s involved as long as Tim Burton stays on board:
“Now it looks like he is involved. And without giving too much away we’ve talked to each other, and e-mailed each other, and if he’s in, it’s going to be hard not to be in.”
Alrightee, then! Count me in!
Now, do you think we’ll see Winona Ryder, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis back for more? Ryder’s a maybe. Baldwin and Davis – I’d say don’t hold your breath.
