Cyborg In Batman vs. Superman

By Dr. Know on April 24th, 2014

The upcoming Batman vs. Superman is starting to take on a heavier-than-expect fantasy tone, folks; Ray Fisher, primarily a stage actor, has joined the cast in the role of Victor Stone, aka Cyborg. Variety is reporting that the role is not a significant one, but it will allegedly pave the way for future big screen appearances by the Justice League.

Cyborg made his first appearance in 1980’s DC Comics Presents #26. In the New 52 continuity, he’s a high school athlete who, after getting caught in a S.T.A.R. Labs explosion, is given powerful bionic abilities that lead to him becoming a founding member of the Justice League.

Ben Affleck will star as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the Zack Snyder-directed movie, while Man of Steel‘s Henry Cavill and Amy Adams wil reprise their roles as Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane respectively. Gal Gadot is confirmed  as Wonder Woman, while Jesse Eisenberg is playing Lex Luthor. Jeremy Irons fills out the cast as Alfred Pennyworth.

Academy Award-winning screenwriter Chris Terrio (Argo) recently boarded the project to punch up the earlier draft(s) by Man of Steel screenwriter David S. Goyer.

Zack Snyder directs.

Batman vs. Superman is scheduled for May 6, 2016.
