A Public Service Announcement From Batman

Just so you know Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) isn’t only concerned with protecting the citizens of Gotham. He also has a passion for the environment – bats to be specific.

If you click that player below, you can view a new PSA via Batfleck and director Zack Snyder for the Organization for Bat Conservation for a National Save the Bats Week PSA on the species’ issue with white-nose syndrome.

“Essentially, these bats are on the verge of completely dying out — not only would we lose an extraordinary species, the death of our bats would be catastrophic to our ecosystem,” says Ben Affleck in the video, as Amy Adams and director Zack Snyder helps build bat habitats (complete with a Gotham skyline).

“I was definitely afraid of bats before and had an idea that they were creepy, but they have a lot of personality, actually,” admits Adams, who’s playing Lois Lane for a second time in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. “They’re quite charming!”

Hmmm, I wonder if Lois Lane will share the sentiment when her boyfriend starts slugging out with the Dark Knight.

As most of you already know, Ben Affleck will star as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the Zack Snyder-directed movie, while Man of Steel‘s Henry Cavill and Amy Adams wil reprise their roles as Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane respectively. Gal Gadot is, of course, confirmed  as Wonder Woman, while Jesse Eisenberg is playing Lex Luthor. Moreover, Jason Momoa is on board as Aquaman. Jeremy Irons fills out the cast as Alfred Pennyworth.

Academy Award-winning screenwriter Chris Terrio (Argo) recently boarded the project to punch up the earlier draft(s) by Man of Steel screenwriter David S. Goyer.

Zack Snyder directs.

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for May 6, 2016.
